4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Lake Kivu
4 Days Rwanda tour offers tourists a gorilla tracking adventure in Volcanoes national park as well as golden monkeys and then Lake Kivu before return to Kigali.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: City tour and Transfer to Volcanoes NP.
You will be picked from the hotel or airport on arrival by your tour guide/driver and if still early, go for Optional Kigali city tour. Visit the genocide memorial, Nyamata church, local markets among others. Later, drive northwards to Volcanoes national park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel/La palme Hotel/Mountain gorilla View Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and evening Cultural walk.
In the morning after an early breakfast, gather at the park headquarters at 7:30am for a compulsory pre-tracking briefing where you are also allocated a group to track. After briefing from the senior park ranger you will commence your memorable gorilla trekking which normally takes 2 to 6 hours in the jungle. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of 1 full hour. Later return to your Hotel for Relaxation. In the evening, you may go for cultural walk to Iby’wachu. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking and transfer to Lake Kivu.
In the morning after an early breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for briefing before heading for golden Monkey tracking where you will enjoy these rare monkey species play in the forest in search of food. On return, you will transfer to lake Kivu and relax at the beach. Dinner and overnight at paradise Malahide/Kivu Serena Hotel.
Day 4: Boat Cruise/Coffee experience and transfer back to Kigali.
In the morning, you may take a boat cruise up to the hot springs or go for coffee experience dubbed “from crop to cup”. On return, you will be transferred back to Kigali reaching in the afternoon and transfer to the airport for departure if on schedule.
