4 Day Gorilla Safari, Wildlife Tour Rwanda

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali in Rwanda
You shall meet the driver/guide at the Airport upon arrival, have a short brieifng with the guide, have lunch in Kigali city and then head to volcnaoes national park via Ruhengeri town. The journey from Kigali city to the gorilla trekking park goes through beautiful terraced hillsides that characterize much of Rwanda's landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes, sometimes with as many as five peaks visible. Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge, Le Bambou gorilla lodge or Kinigi guest house.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Parc National Des Volcans
Your trek group shall gather at 8am for briefing from the ranger guides at the park headquarters and thereafter confront the thick bamboo bush for to find the gorillas. The ranger guides are well versed with the movements of gorillas and their common tracks, if lucky you get to see the gorillas pretty soon; take shots, watch them feed and play for 1 hour and get back to the lodge. Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy.

Day 3: Wildlife tour, track Rwanda Golden Monkeys

The volcanoes national park is home to other wildlife and you can get to see the golden monkeys here; these move in large groups and its attractive to see them eat and play in a very noisy manner, some visitors have called this their true wildlife experience amongst mother nature. On this day you might also opt to track another group of Gorillas or take culture and community excursions to Gisenyi, visit the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu among other attractions.

Day 4: Return to Kigali

Drive back to Kigali and if time allows for the city tour including a visit to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops and the genocide memorial. Transfer to the airport for your flight back home depending on your schedule.
